Bending Area
At both locations there is an area set aside for our customers to cut and bend aluminum, steel or copper. There is no charge to use the machines provided the material was purchased at Tamar.
Computer Estimating
For homeowners with blueprints, a professional computerized take-off can be done at the Windsor location. This will result in a complete list of all materials necessary to complete your roof regardless of how complicated the roof line.
Sheet Metal Shop
Tamar will bend steel, copper and aluminum to your specifications for a nominal charge. This service is excellent for do-it-yourself homeowners or busy contractors.
Eavestrough
Tamar customers have two options when it comes to eavestrough. If desired, ends and outlets can be installed at Tamar and delivered to the job site (realizing that there would be length restrictions for delivery). Or, as an alternative, Tamar will go to the job site and manufacture 5" or 6" eavestrough in full lengths which would decrease the number of potential leaking joints.
Seminars
From time to time seminars are held at the two Tamar locations. These seminars are carried out by local contractors or factory representatives. Many are hands-on and all are free of charge with both contractors and homeowners welcome. We welcome any suggestions on topics of interest and when there is enough interest to arrange a seminar on a particular topic, the date and location will be published on this website.
Glass Block Units
Tamar assembles glass block windows (with or without vents), partition walls, both curved and straight, according to your measurements. Delivery time is normally within a few days.
Installation Brochures & Videos
If you are uncertain about some aspect of your project you may get professional assistance from our sales staff using the displays in the showroom. In addition, various professional videos are available to borrow with our compliments.
Product Warranties
Our products carry a manufacturer's warranty. Should you feel something you have purchased is defective, you can contact us and we will ensure that you are put in touch with the appropriate manufacture's representative.
Additional Services
When choosing your roof or siding, it is suggested that you take a look at our showroom displays. You can be provided with a list of addresses of homes which has the shingle of your choice.
If, on the other hand, you wish to know what shingle or siding is on a particular house, Tamar will do a "drive-by" and call you with the information. This service is our compliments to you.
